Albert Watson – Phat Albert

I have always loved Albert Watson’s work and this is a wonderful documentary shot while on set during the Neiman Marcus Fall 2010, “Art of Fashion” campaign. I really admire the scope of this photography and how he has made his career through the development of his personal work.

Just Like Mom’s…

I headed over to Joe Mooney’s house, a Baltimore resident,  earlier this week to shoot an assignment for the Wall Street Journal.  I photographed Joe making his Mom’s famous cole slaw using the same utensils she did in 1950.  He found the “Mouli Julienne”, a type of shredder, and purchased it to give her authenticity. The story examines a growing trend in the interesting intersection between foodie and genealogy culture.  The story had  pretty good timing for me.  On Valentines day,  I failed miserably at recreating one of my favorite deserts my grandmother used to make, creamed rice.
