30/11 Celebration of St. Mary…

This time last year I was in Gondar, Ethiopia during the celebration of St. Mary. I put together a short multimedia piece on it, you can see it here.

Orthodox Christian’s celebrate St. Mary at a local church in Gondar, Ethiopia. Through out Ethiopia the celebration of St. Mary is a special celebration as she is one of the most highly revered in Ethiopia. Held on November 30th every year, this celebration brings hundreds of pilgrims to the churches in the larger cities.
