Last year I shot a video with Baltimore rapper, Sonny Redz, and recently, thanks to a spot on World Star Hiphop, the video racked up over 200K views in a couple days. This past Wednesday, Sonny opened for Ghostface Killah and I shot the show for Sonny. Also pictured is Ogun, Aces High, and Play Boi.
The 420 edition of Judah’s Juke Joint at NowChild Sound Stage. Special guest, ASAP ANT, Baltimore native and recent edition to A$AP Mob. DJ Booman was spinning all night wile a large line up of other local artists performed including Su The Clique, Creators and Johnny Haze (pictured below). A few other local greats including OG Dutch Master and Al Rodgers also performed. The night was hosted by Ooh of Brownfish and The Strictly Hiphop crew.

I recently had lunch with another photographer and we were talking about our self-promotion efforts. He told me that what usually happens is that half way through the process, he gets stuck and can’t make a decision and thus the project never takes off.
Not making a decision is a decision in itself, and not a very good one. Decision making, I have realized, is a skill that needs to be worked on. Making decisions can be a crippling experience for people because there is an underlying fear of failure and self doubt.
Opportunity can be hidden between the layers of a problem and I think the key to making decisions is to be look for the opportunity. Decision making is about facing a question, yourself and drawing from the experiences that have come before. Its a self affirming process because it gives you the capability of change.
