Panda Parking for WSJ…

Earlier this week I headed over to Panda Parking, a start up based out of Baltimore for The Wall Street Journal. Panda Parking has created a service online to help people find parking or rent out an available spot.  They are expanding quickly and are currently covering the Baltimore and D.C. areas. Just Like Mom’s…

I headed over to Joe Mooney’s house, a Baltimore resident,  earlier this week to shoot an assignment for the Wall Street Journal.  I photographed Joe making his Mom’s famous cole slaw using the same utensils she did in 1950.  He found the “Mouli Julienne”, a type of shredder, and purchased it to give her authenticity. The story examines a growing trend in the interesting intersection between foodie and genealogy culture.  The story had  pretty good timing for me.  On Valentines day,  I failed miserably at recreating one of my favorite deserts my grandmother used to make, creamed rice.
