LANE HARLAN
Lane Harlan is one of Baltimore’s most influential taste-makers and visionaries, renowned for her ability to turn spaces into experiences. Born in the Philippines and raised across the U.S., she made Baltimore her home at 17 — a city whose grit, diversity, and potential would become the canvas of her ambition. What began as a bartending job quickly evolved into a passion for hospitality and design. Her first major venture, W.C. Harlan, opened in 2013 as a cozy, cocktail-driven bar.
Inspired by a trip to Oaxaca, she later introduced Baltimore to mezcal-driven cocktails and Mexican soul food with Clavel Mezcaleria, establishing a new benchmark for authenticity and cultural exchange in the city’s dining scene.
Lane didn’t stop there. Over the years she expanded her footprint with additional venues — each distinct yet united by her signature commitment to atmosphere, community, and thoughtful hospitality. Her establishments are more than bars and restaurants — they are vibrant cultural hubs where craft, identity, and conviviality meet.
Through her work, Harlan has helped redefine Baltimore’s social and culinary landscape, proving that bold ideas rooted in respect for tradition and local community can transform neighborhoods and bring people together.
